Counter Strike Source Heapsize 2010

Wednesday, 24 March 2010 - Jodhpur

The night bus was short and although I had slept fairly well. We came between 6 und 7 clock at the bus station in Jodhpur. When I got off the bus, the bus conductor was already gone. Since I still got change from him because I had not previously fit, I looked for him. A man I asked led me to the conductor agency, where I followed my change received. There was not much, but had become for me every rupee. After that I tried first using the small business card that Annie had given me by a good and famous hotel in Jodhpur to orient. I ran across the railroad tracks and somehow made my way towards the hotel, but was eventually totally wrong because I was on the way to the airport. After I had asked some people and I had made sure of the way, I ran the way back. I went through an underpass by the main road and somehow came to the right path to the hotel, which was right next to a large sports complex. Since the hotel was no one to be found alive and I had no desire in the courtyard or to wait outside the door with all the mosquitoes, I peeped me at the sports ground, where there was already very busy. I sat down on a basketball court on a bench and tried to doze a bit, until I finally asked someone from the bank and the sports field. Finally, I was not a member of the sports field and I had no permission to be here. However, I was lucky enough to find a few quiet minutes on the bench.
Back at the hotel I was now the first watch by people. It was a couple from Austria. I chatted a while with the woman until the first caretaker was awake, which is not here Govind, the Annie had recommended to me. The way I understand is this is rarely found in the hotel. The Durag Niwas Guest House was a nice and clean impression on me, had a nice patio and lots of room. Sorry, no room here at Rs 300 was to get a night, so I classify them as too expensive for me. Nevertheless, I just allowed the present caretaker, my backpack this store without any additional costs between the hotel, while I explore the present day Jodhpur. I indulged a warm milk with honey and talked further with the woman who had a laptop. I could use this for a few small things Internet. So I checked my e-mails and wrote the message again, if my passport had already arrived and if so, that he is now to be sent to the Consulate General Mumbai, I had already traveled. Then I got the building manager or a clear map of Jodhpur and then made my way to the well-known Fort Meherangarh Finally, I wanted to spend the day in Jodhpur as well as possible and continue traveling on the evening. From
Duras Niwag Guest House, I crossed a bridge over the railway line to the High Court Road and then ran to the west. At the major intersection with the Na Sarak road I ran that direction Clock Tower (Clock Tower) and Sardar Market and passed along to the old city wall, which I did not see much. I stopped at the shops located on the way for a shop with postcards and a snack out for snack. With the latter, I had to half the distance to the Clock Tower success and allowed myself a small breakfast morning snack. Before the Sardar Market was set up anything for a treat, what I see Staring but not closer. I would go on through the archway at the Sardar Market,

where was the Clock Tower.

I went with this past in a northerly direction and at the other end of the Sardar Markets I allowed myself, because other foreigners had breakfast, a nice morning breakfast. I learned among other things, a very good and very famous lassi shop here in Jodhpur. Lassi is a yogurt drink that is very popular in India. After breakfast I went to the Meherangarh Fort, for which I bought a ticket.

addition to the ticket I received an audio guide through the fort, which was set for me in German. A switch to a different language would certainly be possible later, but apparently the change of language for lay people is a bit too difficult.
I looked inside the fort as best I could with a lot of rest, and also played around in the audio guide. Finally I turned to the language to English and compared with the announcements the German translation, which was very well succeed. I passed the imposing walls, the outlook was for a district with blue houses and saw many more impressive things of the fort

In the fort there was a temple that could be achieved only bare feet, which was somewhat long in the hot stones.

The temple was only for believers of particular interest. At the entrance to the temple, I was talking with some guys donations such as coconuts, sugar, etc. accepted. This gave me a piece of a coconut and a little sugar, which tasted delicious. So far I had not eaten fresh coconut. I looked above me to the wall, the different guns that are imported from all over the world and many time periods there were, it was so good photos came from quite far away Palace Umaid Bhavan Palace, where the maharajah lives and went to the output of the fort At the entrance was a tower, I had seen from a position of the fort while, find me, although access from the top was not apparent. When I passed by again at the entrance, I was able to just watch for nice request this tower, as I took the elevator, which I due to start the stairs and had neglected route points lying on the road.
Here are a few photos for the impression of Meherangarh Forts:

From Meherangarh Fort Jaswant Tada went to one a piece. The Jaswant Tada was built of white stone or marble and is located at a pond mausoleum. A German woman who seemed to be traveling alone, said that one of Jaswant Tada can make very nice photos, especially when you would go down to the pond.

ran from where I then to a preserved section of the old city wall, which I had seen from the fort wall. The way was not easy, because it was difficult to orient themselves out of the city between the buildings and the information of the people were not very precise. At one store I bought because I was hungry and offered snacks were favorable, a snack. From the shop I kept looking for a way the Berlin Wall, because I was hoping from there to make beautiful photos of the Fort can be. The view from there surely ought to be free when I climb up there. In the confusion of the streets I watched the local residents of funny and I realized quite late that I was running around in a more slum-like area. A group of children and adolescents wanted me to come to them, but afterwards I did not let me in, because I did not know what they were doing everything in a group. Finally arrived at the wall I found no immediate way up. So I wanted to climb one place up, which I was denied because of an alleged private property. At another point someone wanted to have money from me, so I on the wall was what I was not willing to pay. So I was looking for another way. Meanwhile, even children threw stones at me and when I turned, I saw a child throw more stones at me. Then I took the last stone dropped in and suggested that after throwing the child, who then stopped and disappeared. From then on, I ran with a stone in his hand through the area to be prepared for such situations.
At the other end of the wall piece I finally found a way to climb the wall, even if that was not quite so simple. Anyway, it was very quiet here, because no one bothered me and I absolutely no person in the vicinity saw. So I climbed alone up the wall and took photos of the Fort

and from the palace of the Maharajah.

Then I went back to the Sardar Market, to me at the Cafe a lassi to drink lassi. If one is already here and a shop for his lassis is known, then you have to try something eventually. At the store I allowed myself two lassis because the first had already tasted so delicious and somehow evaporates, was even though I had tried to enjoy it slowly. There I met Anna and Simone from Germany and Sam from England, with whom I then something went through Jodhpur. I was still trying postcards, but found none. For that I bought myself a snack and in turn informed the Simone and Anna, since none of them has tried this small, almost exclusively from existing sugar balls. From the bazaars we went towards the railway station, allegedly because there should be a business with postcards. It was only a post office, which had already closed and had no postcards in the sale would have. At the train station and surrounding area, I found no business with postcards. And I just wanted a postcard from Meherangarh Fort for my family.
Back at the junction of separated Na Sarak corner of High Court Road, our way, because the girls to their accommodation north toward the blue houses the fort had to lie. Apparently, I had found on the Sardar Market near the Clock Tower postcard shops, but they too had been closed and to run a great mind where I no longer had. So I ran back to the High Court Road Durag Niwas Guest House and found the way to a closed tourist information. In the guest house of the Austrian couple was still there and I talked a little with this and a couple from England, which departs today evening. I bought something to drink at the inn, while the English told repeatedly how cheap it all was and a few (hundred) rupee more or less as it was not good. When it was time for The departure was, I paid my bill and walked with my backpack to the bus station. There I waited a while before the next bus to Ranakpur went to Udaipur. My arrival in Ranakpur was in the early morning hours between 3 und 4 clock. In the bus I paid for the ticket to Ranakpur and took a seat. Hoping to be woken by the conductor on arrival in Ranakpur, because not all the time I wanted to stay awake and fell asleep.
