Friday, 26 March 2010 - Day 1 Udaipur
That night I slept a lot and I could sleep for once, as far as allowed by the hotel staff. In the morning they knocked the area that is to look at my door to see if everything's well with me in order and I would like to have breakfast. The first attempt I was able to ignore good, but the second I opened the door with the answer already, that everything is OK and I would have no breakfast. Then I was able to sleep up to 14 Clock. So tired and worn out like yesterday I had last felt in New Delhi. In the afternoon I decided to explore Udaipur to use the remaining time of the day as best as possible. Actually, today I wanted to visit Kumbhalgarh and Udaipur pick for the remaining days, but there were again different than we thought. The friendly hotel clerk gave me tour information for Udaipur, where he gave me a small list of important and interesting destinations in Udaipur wrote a note. He suggested that I should take better in some places a taxi or the like, as various sections are run quite far. My opinion it was already running.
First I ran to the railway station in Udaipur, to receive trip information to Mumbai. The tourist office at the station was closed at the moment unfortunately, but I could give a friendly person at the station also information on when the trains towards Mumbai. From Udaipur to Mumbai, there is no direct train. Instead, you have one change, as had the hotel clerk told me so. Also operates the train service to Mumbai only on certain days that are inconvenient time for me or for too long need. I would rate as only on Wednesday to arrive by train in Mumbai, which is much too short, because my flight leaves on Wednesday evening and I still pick up my passport in Mumbai on when the will is there. So I was left with scale back the way by bus to Mumbai, for which I had to watch a day before departure for a ticket. On the way back to the hotel I bought an ice cream for Rs 5, which tasted delicious. That's why I bought diagonally across from the hotel one more with a different color, I was not as tasty as the white ice cream. After that I went to the Tourist Information Centre which was situated near the hotel and was closed. However, I somehow got through a side entrance, if that was not yet the main entrance into the building and were directed to a room where I received tourist information. One of the employees helped me by giving me a clear Map with all necessary information was on Udaipur.
Then I strolled a bit through the town, bought some snacks on the road and came to the Jagdish temple, near the Pichhola Lake (Lake Pichola) was removed.
Udaipur is the way to its nature, the lakes very well known. From the temple I took a few photos inside the temple and I listened to the songs of the women who had gathered here. The women took turns with the singer and this role has been tumbled, clapped and danced.
It was just beautiful. Unfortunately I was not here inner peace, because I wanted to explore more of Udaipur and thus left the temple. At the temple entrance someone wanted money from me for food because he had been taking care of my shoes. When I offered him my left remained snack, because it was the first snack that did not hit my taste, he would instead prefer to have money for food. I offered him again, "Eating" and after him, someone else said it but "food" was, he accepted it and was quiet. From the temple I went to Lake Pichhola made there from the surrounding photos, just like the dirty portion of the lake
my lap and turned on to the Fateh Sagar Lake in the middle of the Iceland Park Nehru (Nehru Island Park) was. The whole piece was from the south of Iceland Nehru Park dry, so I could run without problems up to the park.
At the entrance was at first no one there and so I hesitated entering the park. Suddenly appeared out of nowhere a person and demanded money from me. I negotiated from Rs 10 to Rs 5 and went relatively quickly through the small brightly lit park as I was leaving the park, was the man with the agreed money was not satisfied, what I want to change anything. From Nehru
Iceland Park, I walked across the plains towards Anand Bhavan a brightly lit hotel
then over a bridge towards the hotel to go, which divided the lake into Swarup Sagar Sagar and rank. The way back was to run an entire piece and slowly I got an overview of the maze of streets of Udaipur. On the way I came upon a wedding, where two more men were married and were sitting on beautiful white horses. Unlike other weddings, the men wore large, thick with flowers blossoms or the like braided strands together so that their faces were completely hidden. That was something I had hitherto not seen it.
led me in the evening the hotel staff to the restaurant, which was the hotel a few doors down. There I ate was tasty and cheap thali and then back to the hotel. The hotel clerk asked me to come back at night time as possible so he can be sure that everything is fine with me. I thought that was really nice, he cares about me. In the room then I went back after a refreshing shower. Tomorrow I have to visit before Kumbhalgarh and want as the first moving bus.
