Thursday 11 March 2010 - Hike Triund and my birthday
Today I was ready early, finally stood on a big trip. At 7 I would have had to go clock in McLeod Ganj. Since Dharamkot is on the way from McLeod Ganj to Triund, I had thus already a small head start and lay there a little longer. Around 7:30 I was ready to clock up at the intersection where the road along the mountain chain went and there was a small cafe. The prices there, I felt a bit overpriced and the breakfast offered me said to not, so I wanted to drink a glass of hot water. The completion took me but also to long. I switched briefly to an Italian a few words, the flies back today and then I went on my way to Triund. I walked along the road and at the first fork I went to the left, which was obviously wrong and after 5 minutes I got a bad feeling. I went on the wrong side of the mountain chain along and turned around then. Back I was now at the junction of the two paths along the right and after some time came on site to Sebastian, right where a trail to a waterfall. Several people just opened their shops and from the bottom of Dharamkot another way led straight up here, where a boy with three girls in tow, came up. I continued my walk, enjoying the increasingly better views on such a sunny and clear day and the beautiful nature around me.
as I did yesterday at the store got half way to Triund, I was the first. From the shop had a good view of the road and beside me, the shop owner had not seen anyone come up on the way to Triund. I got as the day before a chai tea, he returned the empty container and told him that there was no kerosene. Was a pity, but there could not be helped. From a small shop it was possible to look beautiful in the valley and saw the big cricket stadium in Dharamshala in the distance. After some time, came the Asians with whom I talked a little and took a few photos. After the Japanese came the Italians came with another person, who dragged his glider for him. Now I understood what he meant to fly back with. He will fly back with his paraglider point from where he was flown with his glider for some time to Dharamshala. The shop owner said he to him and his two colleagues remember. They came a few days ago in Dharamshala on the green lawn, you could see from up here, to. So I listened to an interesting conversation over the paragliding and was shortly afterwards set off again. The small lead over the Japanese, I held up to Triund. The way up was worth every step with its landscape. In the second section I got a few people receive from above, which had probably stayed up. Sometimes I took little shortcuts, then slipped off my finger, however, and ratchets on heavily bleeding. So I let it bleed a little, and then stuck my finger properly off with tape to stop the bleeding and to close the wound. Then I avoided any type of acronym and thought I was knitting on the road. Once at the top in Triund, I found a few small huts, small shops and were offered snacks and drinks.
I looked around a bit, took some pictures and joined me after the Japanese had arrived with them. We ate some lunch and we shared our food. She also congratulated me for a birthday, when they learned of it yesterday and I share my purchased especially for this day chocolate with them. From Triund, I could see on a promontory a small temple and I was interested in whether we could go there also. Apparently the road was blocked by snow, but it would be a way to get there . There The way there meant an additional 1.5 hours of walking. So I said goodbye to the Japanese and tried my luck. The trail was mostly snow really, but someone had already left his footprints in the snow, which I just followed step by step. It was already clear: "No shortcuts". At the end of the path I climbed up to a meadow high on the ridge. Above it was completely covered with snow, and up to the temple it was still a little bit of walking. The snow was hard and sometimes slippery. It had to be careful too, not with the legs in the snow to bag, if you accidentally stepped into a large rock column. So could schonmal to hip disappear in the snow. Arriving at the temple I had a fabulous view of the surroundings and I realized after a while, why should you can hit for a good view. The sun heats the snow, which then evaporates and forms clouds, then taking the midday and afternoon time reinforces the view of the surrounding mountains. Despite the time, I got the opportunity for some nice photos. At the temple, I did not stay long because I had to also remember my way back up to Dharamkot. On the way back I went way I had come back, and in some places on the snowy ridge I had previously Schlitterspuren found by my predecessors. There, go up was the smallest problem, but it was like walking down a true skid lot, which was totally awesome and incredibly made a lot of fun. In the end I took the opportunity to slide over a distance of 10 meters. That was a really good birthday. Back in
Triund I met an Austrian, who was traveling in sandals. We talked, drank together a chai tea and went then to the decline. For this purpose, we took a different route back to Bhagsu, since we both came to the same path Triund. So we could enjoy a different view, because we ran mainly on the grassy ridge, the very pleasant was committing. When it came down to the right, we searched several times for a path and followed later just our feeling. We came twice by groups of seemingly deserted cottages, which are well inhabited only in summer time. At the last town with huts we met a foreign couple who showed us the way to Bhagsu waterfall because they were on the way back. Once there, we panted in short, to then continue to go to McLeod Ganj. I tried again in McLeod Ganj some bread and delicious Zimtkringel buy, but got nothing said by both. After that I just asked the two Germans if they wanted to eat with us, but they had already eaten. They had a made great and beautiful hike to another waterfall and were very satisfied with their day. They congratulated me yet for his birthday and I told you about my trip. For Triund I gave them the tip, as I walk the path to the temple high. They wanted to take then garbage bags to slide there can - not a bad idea. After I get their e-mail addresses, I said goodbye and went to the Austrians to my local favorite restaurant. There we ate a delicious thali us while we deal with two fruit sellers, who had already drunk some alcohol, talking. Thus offered to us also the alcohol that I did not drink much, because he did not tasted, especially on an empty stomach. The two said that from the metal cups, one should drink alcohol within 10 minutes because the other would get a metallic taste. Moreover, in India would not drink alcohol before eating and after eating. The fruit vendor complained about the bad current business and the problem with the rapid deterioration of the goods.
After we finished eating, and had both the fruit seller in the evening enough, we parted ways. On the way to accommodation in Dharamkot I sat in a small cafe and ordered a glass of hot water to drink given by my sister pudding, which tasted really delicious. Then I ordered a glass of mint tea with ginger (ginger) and paid for both the hot water and tea. Back in the room I made in the kitchen, a cozy fire to burn the remaining wood collected. Here, the night grew longer. As I packed my stuff and wanted to charge iPod with the new Charger, shot was the outlet and the charger broke. Too bad. I wanted to go here already about 4 clock, so I can take the first bus clock by 5 in McLeod Ganj to Dharamshala. So I could probably get in Dharamshala possible early bus to Amritsar. Thus, I rested in the remaining hour still a little off.
