Hand Knit Baby Cardigans

Wednesday, 10 March 2010 - Tibetan festival, grand tour

The night I slept well and here in McLeod Ganj and Dharamkot was significantly warmer than last time in Manali. The neighbors were quite early in the morning on his feet, as it stood today before departure from Dharamkot. As well every morning, they made their own breakfast with some eggs and some vegetables on a small little fire. Therefore it was convenient that they had some fire wood, which I got after the radicals. At 11 clock I was on my way to explore the area. The room, I could see on the hillside a stupa or the like, which I set myself a target. So I went off with packed things and began to climb up the path to stupa. During the climb was I see because of the slope of the stupa no more, so I simply gave the approximate direction. Due to a lack of track, there was more climbing and Wegsucherei. When I was a little above the Stupa, I could see it again and went on seemingly direct way to it. Once there, I see a beautiful view over the valley and was a way much earlier, in which a man with horses or mules walking along. The road was my next goal and so I climbed further up, which lasted at least as long as the already back on board.
Once on the way, was the man with the animals already gone and I just followed the trail to the right further up until I came to a lonely cottage. There I made a little break and chatted with the owner, who lives here most of the year. He runs that store small shop on the way to Triund for a long time and have always appropriate for winter supplies. The animals that I had previously seen were donkeys that transport in McLeod Ganj ordered things for him or the small hut in Triund shops. A donkey transport is quite expensive, so orders are always given in large quantities. I approved two chai teas and relaxed at the fabulous views of the valley, while the holder of kerosene from a can in other umschüttete. He used a small metal funnel with a filter to filter out the dirt. He then cleaned the other canisters, while we continue talking about life. Since filters are not very good, I gave him the way the advice to use for fuel filtering paper coffee filter. When you filter the gasoline we use at home back on such filters to ensure clean fuel can. This idea he liked. He wanted his friend in McLeod Ganj, which is almost every 2nd Day, the way even with 60 years back for a visit and tea sets that appeal to these filters.
Following the path onwards I would come to Triund what I had planned for tomorrow. So I decided to go back to me, at least in the temple and the great Tibetan Bhagsu Tsuglagkhang Temple in McLeod Ganj to broadcast, which was a building complex for the time of the occupation of Tibet to the Dalai Lama's residence. Since I wanted to help the man, I offered to bring new fuel from McLeod Ganj, if I go over there either way. Tomorrow would bring the then on the way to Triund. He wanted to give me money, but I wanted only to supplying the product and took the two empty cans cleaned. He recommended me for Triund to start very early in the morning, as the route would be from here again 1.5 hours away. For the way to Bhagsu I should be at the branch where he had something written on the stones, turn down. Until then I had a small group of Austrians opposed, one a nice "Ohm" character wore around his neck, which I had been looking without success.
The Way Bhagsu was not easy to go down, but what was much faster than the way up. After all, this was somehow a way to exist. Once in Bhagsu, I found a very new temple which I see Staring me short. After that I went to the old temple, which also was not particularly. Around the corner from the temple a large swimming pool with very cold water, but that was no swimsuit was not just to mute after swimming or bathing. The waterfall, which should be here in the vicinity, was another 5 minutes walk away and so I took it with even more on my sighting lap. Very impressive I found him not, because simply not enough water down the mountain was transported. So I went with my backpack and the canisters, which I had so using a string tied together that I could attach to my backpack, back to McLeod Ganj, where I treated myself to the same restaurant last night for an afternoon snack. should I then went to the shop to sell the kerosene and after I had finally found him, this shop had no fuel, but said it could still be delivered in the evening. Too bad, so I wanted to at least have the Tibetan Museum and Tsuglagkhang look at the temple. On the way to the museum and the temple I met the couple the next room and chatted briefly with them. As a Tibetan
today was a holiday, closed the Tibetan Museum, as well as the Tibetan shop that normally sold kerosene. After all, the temple was opened, through which I shot a great round and a few more photos came out again. Then I bought around the corner a couple of very tasty cinnamon donuts (donuts), and went back to the kerosene shop, in the hope that new fuel was now arrived. It was not so, so I went in the opposite bakery with delicious bread. There I had just as little success in trying to buy another of this delicious bread. Too bad. Then I went to the two Germans at the hotel, who had already eaten and me asked whether I had seen the Dalai Lama, who was here today. I knew nothing, of course, had already but the Austrians have heard of it. The Austrians and I were not like the Germans among the lucky ones, the Dalai Lama should see. After a short conversation, I took my leave, went to eat my default restaurant or a large portion Thali and collected on the way to another room wood. There I put down my bags and moved once again armed with flashlight and cord going to gather wood. I returned full with a good arm back again, made myself comfortable, a fire in the kitchen and rested. A short time later disappeared I lay down into the room and, finally, I wanted to get up early tomorrow to contest the way Triund.
